Jack Beviss joined the Royal Marines in 1942 and served with the Eastern Fleet and took part in the D-Day landings. After the Second World War he was posted to Palestine. In July 1950 his regiment was summoned to Korea where he remained for 18 months. Soon after his return to England he left the marines after 12 years service. Estimate: 100-150
