Cuddeford, R.A.F.: comprising 1914-1918 British War and Victory medals, 1939-45 Star, Africa Star, 1939-1945 Defence Medal, and 1939-1945 War Medal, together with photographs and associated U.K and Australian newspaper cuttings from September 1959 relating to Captain John Cuddeford and B.O.A.C's De Havilland Comet IV. John Cuddeford joined the R.A.F. in 1940. In September 1959 Captain Cuddeford and Captain Jones shared the responsibility of commander on the Comet IV's proving flights prior to going into service between Sydney and London later that year.
